You are probably wondering – what are Universal Breadcrumbs?
Well, have you ever looked back in life and gone, ‘ahhh … now I know why I had to go through XYZ because without all of these experiences I wouldn’t be where I am today’?
Rather than wait after the fact, why not be on the lookout for your Universal Breadcrumbs every day?
Let me explain.
For example, just the other day I had someone reach out who wanted to do business with me. Of course, I was flattered and, being the reflector that I am, I had to think about it.
As I was sitting in my chair, I thought to myself, ‘where is the Universal Breadcrumb in this opportunity?’
Sometimes the breadcrumb is so small that you really need to step back. You have to take a helicopter view to see it, just like a hungry raven or eagle swooping down on their prey from the clouds.
As you are diving closer and closer to your target, there it is. The Universal Breadcrumb.
The most beautiful experience is the mysterious
It’s not the opportunity at hand but the partnership with another company that leads you to where you are meant to be.
Oftentimes, we just get it so wrong. We dive into an opportunity thinking, ‘this is it’, without looking for the Universal Breadcrumb. Then, it takes us twice as long to get to our destination.
You will get there eventually through another route, or even another lifetime, but you will get there.
It is up to you.
So, the next time you have an opportunity that comes knocking on the door, look out for the Universal Breadcrumb.
Most of the time, we only see them as our trail, rather than our path.
What colour lens do you have on today?
You hear it all the time. Everything happens for a reason. What that reason is … who knows?
The past has already taken place and the future is yet to be written.
Yet we get so caught up in, ‘why has this happened to me?’ We put on our victim mentality and wear it proud like a boss. In reality, our only job is to find our shiny little golden nugget in all that takes place.
We have no need nor desire to label it as good or bad. It just is.
If you wear your blue-coloured glasses, that is all you will see. Just the same, if you wore your rose-coloured glasses, this is all you will see and miss the opportunity – the Universal Breadcrumbs.
If you want to feel blessed beyond measure, then invest your time and energy looking for your Universal Breadcrumbs in every scenario.
I promise you, they will lead you to that yellow brick road that will unfold before your eyes and open the gateways to your Universal treasures.
If you can’t find a path, create your own
A teacher once said, ‘you are the master, you are the teacher and you are the student’.
It never really made sense until I questioned, ‘what is my Universal Breadcrumb if I were to analyse what I am doing?’
Bingo! We teach what we must learn.
If you are a teacher of courage, then you must learn, live and embrace bravery.
If you are a teacher of leadership, then you must walk your talk and lead the way.
If you are a teacher of mindfulness, then you must practice and be mindful.
Whatever you are doing, you must embed those learnings yourself.
This is your greatest lesson in life. This is your calling.
This is why so often you see individuals lost in all of these different programs and various retreats. They invest hundreds and thousands of dollars just because they have not found their Universal Breadcrumb. They are still searching.
But what if you were to stop right now and say to yourself, ‘I have my Universal Breadcrumb; it is right in front of me’?
What do you need to master?
This is the sweet spot right there.
You no longer have to be the student nor the teacher. You can now be the master of your destiny.
It may be as simple as being a researcher in the topics that interest you. Stop looking and start being.
Otherwise, you are on your rough-edged trail and not creating a path for yourself. You are getting involved in the wrong kinds of opportunities and not seeing the treasure – the gold that is right in front of you.
Follow the breadcrumbs
Since I have been putting it into practise, in every situation there is an opportunity, good or bad. I know that here and now there is a Universal Breadcrumb that is going to set me on my clear path.
It has changed my life in more ways that you can imagine.
One Universal Breadcrumb leads to another Universal Breadcrumb, and so on.
It’s just like the tale of Hansel and Gretel. While they were experiencing famine, the woodcutter’s wife decided to take the children into the woods and leave them there to fend for themselves so she and her husband would not starve to death. Hansel took a slice of bread and left a trail of breadcrumbs for them to follow home.
Just because your path may be different to others’, it doesn’t mean you are lost. You are just following the Universal Breadcrumbs that are unique to you.
Listen to the signs. They are loud and clear, if only we trust and value the messages they provide for us.
Fear is a block to following our Universal Breadcrumb
Most of our adventurous lives are filled with Universal Breadcrumbs. All you need to do is take 10-15 minutes and reverse engineer your timeline starting from today.
What Universal Breadcrumb got you to where you are today?
Then from that point, what’s the next Universal Breadcrumb that you learned from, that got you to your next destination? And so on…
As a society, we are so conditioned to tune out from our inner desires that we have blocked ourselves from those little whispers that come from our soul.
We have succumbed to our fears that are actually blocking us from seeing our Universal Breadcrumbs.
Take note from this day onwards. What makes you feel curious and excited?
Whatever that is, it’s your next Universal Breadcrumb, outlining your perfect path.
The more you become awake and aware of the Universal Breadcrumbs lined up right in front of you, the more quickly and instantaneously you will get to your destination.
