Julie-Anne Black is here today with Rebecca Coomes. She is an entrepreneur, author, coach and presenter. She is the founder of The Healthy Gut program, and is the author of the world’s first dedicated cookbook series for people suffering from Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).

As Rebecca hit her mid 30’s she felt unwell, in pain and bloated. She was a successful marketer, working in busy corporate roles, had high levels of stress, drank too much, slept too little and was left wondering if this was all there was to life. After fruitless tests and visits to doctors, she turned to a naturopath in desperation to understand what was going wrong with her health.

In 2015, she finally received a diagnosed of SIBO. After a lifetime of chronic illness, she finally had a diagnosis of what was wrong, and why she had suffered from digestive problems for so many years. In addition to SIBO, she also suffered from Endometriosis and Haemochromatosis.

As she received treatment for her SIBO, Rebecca recognised there was more to healing her body than just treating the condition itself. Not only did she need to heal her gut, but she realised she needed to change her mindset after a lifetime of chronic illness, improve how she moved and exercised her body, and review the nutrition she consumed. She also had to address her lifestyle and look a how she could incorporate this new way of living into her life.
